Rim Shots

Indian Garden viewed from the South Rim of Grand Canyon
A clear view of Indian Garden (the green "S" to left of center).  This is roughly the 1/2 way point on the Bright Angel Trail.  There's a campsite here, facilities, and water for those passing through.  Makes a great place to spend the middle of the day if you're a slower hiker and need to wait for things to cool down before finishing your trip.  You can also see the Colorado River at the bottom.

 

 

Grand Canyon South Rim
Everyone who sets foot at the rim of the Canyon understands immediately that pictures can never capture the awe, grandeur, and mystery that inspire the traveler.

Here are a few shots from various points along the rim.  These include some wildlife shots, and the individual photos that comprised the stitched-together panorama at the top of this page.
